Public Amenities
City of Carmel, Indiana. The Fehribach Group has worked with Carmel to ensure its city center not only accommodates people with disabilities, but also is accessible to the aging population. According to recent Census figures, Hamilton County is home to nearly 13,000 residents over age 65, approximately 34 percent of whom are disabled. In creating a city core that is comfortable, interesting, mobile and healthy, sidewalks contain curb cuts to ease travel and make the center accessible for everyone.
City of Evansville, Indiana. Greg Fehribach works with Indiana's third largest city to ensure public facilities and amenities accommodate people with disabilities.
City of Indianapolis. Greg Fehribach has served as special counsel to the city since 1995, and has provided consultation on the following accessibility needs: bus shelters; the downtown Canal Walk; Fall Creek Place; Indy Parks facilities; public art projects; sidewalk and curb cuts; and restoration and renovation of downtown sidewalk cafes.
Indiana Convention Center, Phase V - Indianapolis, Indiana. The Fehribach Group is participating in the expansion of the Indiana Convention Center as part of an effort to attract a wider variety of groups and organizations to one of the nation's top convention destinations.
The Indiana Governor's Residence. Greg Fehribach served as chairman of the Indiana Governor's Residence Commission, and participated in a process that kept the Residence in a historic Indianapolis neighborhood while making it accessible for people with disabilities. He also served as the coordinator and consultant for new construction and retrofitting, and designed an accessibility program.
Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library. For the first time in the library's history, the downtown Central Library is now accessible to people with disabilities. The Fehribach Group provided consultation to retrofit the library's original 1917 structure, as well as ensure the 293,000 square foot addition is accessible for all.
Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick. A crown jewel of downtown Indianapolis, the Cultural Trail showcases and connects the city's thriving cultural districts. The Fehribach Group provided consultation to ensure this urban pedestrian and bicycle path can be enjoyed by members of the aging population, fitness enthusiasts, parents with strollers, and people with disabilities.
U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. The Fehribach Group served as the consultant on access issues regarding physical space, amenities, and exhibits.
