People age 50 and older spent nearly $300 billion in 2003.

Our Business Approach

The passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act nearly 20 years ago opened new doors for the more than 50 million people with disabilities, their loved ones and friends. It also created a new customer base for businesses and organizations.

At The Fehribach Group, we help our clients look deeper to determine how people with disabilities can enhance and strengthen their strategic and economic goals. Our legal team works in conjunction with architects, construction managers, and engineers to craft and implement physical access systems that provide people with disabilities, the elderly, and others, the access required by the ADA. We also recognize that the ADA is constantly evolving, which is why we aggressively monitor changes and updates to the law.

In counseling our clients, we apply the concept of universal design - or universal accessibility - which is based upon a worldwide movement of creating products, environments and communications that are responsive to the spectrum of human needs and accessible to the widest possible array of users. Investing in sound universal design practices saves our clients money in the long run, protecting them from potential cost overruns and possible litigation, while building an accessible environment for the future. It also creates greater economic opportunity for people with disabilities, allowing businesses to reach an untapped market of uniquely qualified individuals.

At any point in time, anyone could find themselves in a situation where they will need to use accessible facilities. Whether it's a grandparent using a walker, a mother pushing a stroller, or an aging baby boomer recovering from back pain, a disability is not a special condition of the few, but a common characteristic that affects most of us for some part of our lives. If a design works well for people with disabilities, it works well for everyone.
